In yet another case of a person getting around in public unsteadily, one man was apparently seen trying to wear his wallet as a shoe in Bedok only to fall over.

He then tried to put the wallet on his feet again.

A 15-second video of the incident was shared with Mothership by Sha, 37.

Incident happened in June

Recounting the incident, Sha revealed that the video was shot sometime in June.

He explained that he did not make much of it at that time.

However, a spate of videos showing people with zombie-like gait in public started appearing online with greater frequency in recent weeks, which led him to believe this could be part of the phenomenon.

Happened in Bedok

Sha confirmed that the incident occurred near a tyre shop at Bedok Market Place.

In the clip, the man was seen struggling to stay upright and he placed his left arm on a lamp post for support.

He tried twice to slip his left foot into what appears to be a wallet, before he tipped over and fell to the ground.

Around his left ankle appeared to be an ankle monitor.

After recovering from his fall, he sat up and once again tried to put on the wallet as a shoe.

Tried to help

Sha revealed that after the video got cut off, he and his group, along with other passers-by, approached the man to try to assist him.

That was when he noticed what appeared to be a vape device in the man's right hand.

Sha and his group left shortly after to go back to work and another passer-by accompanied the man.

Sha said he thinks the Kpod phenomenon in Singapore has "gotten out of hand".
