A Chinese man in Malaysia, 25, fell to his death after attempting to reach his girlfriend's apartment in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur by scaling the outer walls on Aug. 22.

His body was found at the foot of the building at 10:45am, New Straits Times (NST) wrote.

Preliminary investigations revealed that at around 3:30am, the man, Tan, arrived at the condominium to meet up with his girlfriend, Cheras police chief told China Press.

He tried to phone her but got no answer.

He then headed up to the 20th floor where his girlfriend lived.

The 25-year-old then decided to attempt to reach her apartment by scaling the outer walls of the building.

Unfortunately, he lost his footing and fell.

He succumbed to the injuries to his head.

No foul play is suspected, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem, NST reported.

The case has been classified as sudden death.

On Aug. 23, Tan's body was repatriated back to his hometown Meru, Perak, Sin Chew Daily reported.
