Taufik Batisah's 1st solo S'pore concert tickets sold out in under 1 hour
Possibly the 43-year-old's first and last solo concert in Singapore.
Tickets for local singer-songwriter Taufik Batisah's first solo concert are sold out.
The 43-year-old will be performing at the Star Theatre on Oct. 25 as part of his "One Last Dance" tour.
Tickets went on sale on Jul. 9 via Sistic at 2pm.
In an Instagram post on Jul. 9, the singer thanked his supporters in Malay for the overwhelming reception.
"As high as the stars in the galaxy, as wide as the beautiful seas. Our appreciation [goes out] to all of you," he wrote.
Batisah, who rose to fame after winning the first season of "Singapore Idol" in 2004, is set to perform songs spanning his two-decade music career.
In an interview with CNA Lifestyle, the singer revealed that "One Last Dance" could be his very first and last solo concert.
He said:
"In my mind, this concert is my last concert, unless God blesses me with a longer career in music. I want to be able to take care of my family. I'm being very, very practical. In all honesty, I'm doing this concert for my fans."
