Man, 51, allegedly molested girl, 13, at building along Mountbatten Road

10 men, aged between 20 and 60, will be charged with outrage of modesty on Jul. 15 for their involvement in separate cases of molestation.

Among them is a 51-year-old man who reportedly molested a 13-year-old girl along Mountbatten.

In a police news release, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) stated it has zero tolerance towards sexual offenders who prey on unsuspecting victims and threaten the personal safety of others.

Offenders will be dealt with sternly per the law, SPF added.

"The police will continue to work closely with various stakeholders, such as public entertainment outlets, public transport operations, and the community, to prevent and deter molestation cases."

The cases

Case 1

A 55-year-old man allegedly molested a 21-year-old woman at a commercial facility along Bayfront Avenue on May 18, 2025.

The police were able to establish the man's identity through follow-up investigations and the aid of images from CCTVs.

He was later arrested on the same day.

Case 2

A 34-year-old man allegedly molested a 20-year-old  woman at a bus stop along Sengkang Central on Apr. 14, 2024.

He was later identified through follow-up investigations and images from police cameras.

Case 3

On Apr. 5, 2025, a 38-year-old man reportedly molested a 34-year-old woman and was arrested at the scene.

Further investigations revealed that the man allegedly molested another woman, then 33, in late 2024.

Case 4

A 19-year-old man allegedly molested a 20-year-old woman on a public bus on Apr. 4, 2025.

The police managed to establish the man's identity through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras.

Case 5

On Dec. 3, 2024, a 60-year-old man allegedly molested a 42-year-old man at a commercial facility along Market Street.

The perpetrator was subsequently arrested at the scene by Police officers who attended to the incident.

Case 6

A 42-year-old man allegedly molested a 27-year-old woman on Mar. 8, 2025 and was arrested at the scene by police officers attending to the incident.

Case 7

On Feb. 12, 2025, a 27-year-old man allegedly molested a 23-year-old woman in a residential unit along Bedok South Road.

The police later identified the man through follow-up investigations.

Case 8

A 51-year-old man reportedly molested a 13-year-old girl on Nov. 19, 2024, at a commercial building along Mountbatten Road.

He was arrested at the scene by attending police officers.

Case 9

A 34-year-old man reportedly molested a 23-year-old woman in the vicinity of Jurong Gateway Road on Nov. 16, 2024.

The police later established the man's identity through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras.

Case 10

A 36-year-old man allegedly molested a 25-year-old woman at a club along River Valley Road on Aug. 17, 2024.

Attending police officers then arrested him at the scene.

If found guilty of outrage of modesty, offenders may face up to three years' imprisonment, a fine, caning, or any combination of such punishments.

If found guilty of outrage of modesty of a person below the age of 14, offenders may face up to five years imprisonment, a fine, caning or any combination of such punishments.

Members of the public are encouraged to remain vigilant and, if they witness an incident of molestation or are aware of a victim of molestation, to report the incident to the police immediately.
