Police Coast Guard rescue man, 63, from East Coast Park waters
The man sustained minor injuries but declined to be sent to the hospital.
The Police Coast Guard rescued a man in distress in the waters near East Coast Park on Jun. 12.

The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were both alerted to the incident at around 8:10am.
In response to Mothership queries, the police said that the 63-year-old man had minor injuries, but declined to be sent to the hospital.
A Mothership reader said she noticed SCDF officers at a jetty at East Coast Park when she arrived at the beach at around 8:40am.
Boat approached man
Photos and videos of the incident show a man in the waters a distance away from the shore.
He was clinging to the edge of a concrete structure close to the jetty.
The Police Coast Guard could be seen tossing a life buoy to the man and pulling him towards the boat.
The man was seen holding onto the boat as it made their way to safety.

Divers deployed were seen partially submerged in the sea close to the shore by the jetty.
A crowd had also gathered to watch the rescue.
