Train fault on Circle Line causes 30 minute delay between Buona Vista & Paya Lebar MRT stations

A train fault between Botanic Gardens and Farrer Road stations along the Circle Line on May 20 caused delays during the morning commute.
At 8:26 am, SMRT advised commuters to add 30 minutes to their travel time between Paya Lebar and Buona Vista due to a train fault.
Free regular bus services were also available between Serangoon and Buona Vista.
At 8:41 am, the train fault was recovered, and services resumed progressively. At 8:50 am, train services resumed, and the free regular bus services were stopped.
In an update at 9:07 am, SMRT shared that the train fault occurred between Botanic Gardens and Farrer Road stations on May 20 at around 8:15 am.
"We apologise for affecting your morning peak commute and appreciate your understanding," said SMRT.
