A driver waiting for a spot to park in the basement car park of Great World mall in apparently had their lot taken by another driver.

The female driver who is accused of snatching the lot was then seen giving the middle finger, reverse parking poorly, and hitting a parked car in the process.

Dashcam footage of the incident was shared on the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page on Apr. 23.

Car overtakes to snatch lot

The video was shot from the car waiting to park as a car was in the midst of vacating a lot.

A Toyota Vellfire suddenly appeared from behind, overtook the waiting car and attempted to reverse park.

However, the driver of the Toyota had to manoeuvre back and forth multiple times to reverse park.

In the process of doing so, she apparently struck the front bumper of a parked car.

After the collision, the woman, who had on a yellow sun hat, drove forward once more and was seen flipping her middle finger in the direction of the vehicle recording the scene.

She also waved off another car that was trying to drive past.

Eventually, after adjusting her vehicle several times, she managed to park it.

According to the dashcam footage, it took about 2 minutes for her to park.

In the caption, the driver who was waiting for the lot said they hoped the footage would help the owner of the car that was hit.

Criticism

Comments on the video criticised the woman, calling her out for her poor parking skills.

One commenter said: "If it's me I will ask her to come down and park for her instead. Steal carpark lot is ok but seeing her parking skill makes me more fed up."

Another suggested that the lady might have been too "stressed" after her "repeated failure" to park, leading to her subsequent behaviour.
