MOM investigating

In response to Mothership's queries, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) confirmed that a workplace incident had taken place at around 2pm on Tuesday.

According to the ministry, at the time of the incident, the parked tipper truck "suddenly rolled back" and "hit the edge barricades of the concrete slab" before landing on the basement level.

MOM also said that as a general safety measure, the engines of any vehicles should be turned off, and hand brakes should be engaged if the driver were to leave the cabin.

"In addition, wheel chokes should also be placed at the wheel to prevent any roll off," read the statement.

The ministry also revealed that the occupier managing the works on the construction site is HLBC Pte Ltd, and the employer of the injured worker is T.A.G Construction Pte Ltd.

"MOM is investigating the incident and has instructed the occupier to stop all works and review their control measures," added the ministry.
