Five political parties have accepted invitations to appear on Mediacorp's live political roundtables this general election season.

They are the People's Action Party (PAP), the Workers' Party (WP), Red Dot United (RDU), the People's Alliance for Reform (PAR), and the Progress Singapore Party (PSP).

The political parties were selected based on the number of candidates fielded in GE2025, Mediacorp said.

Roundtables

There will be two roundtables, one in English and one in Mandarin, which will air on Apr. 27 and 29 respectively.

The 90-minute English programme will broadcast live from 8pm to 9:30pm on mewatch, melisten, CNA, CNA938, and CNA's digital and social media platforms.

It will air again from 10pm to 11:30pm the same night.

Meanwhile, the 60-minute Mandarin programme will be broadcast live from 9pm-10pm on mewatch, melisten, Channel 8, Mediacorp Capital 958, 8world.com, and 8world's social media platforms.

Political broadcasts

The Infocomm Media Development Authority also previously announced two party political Broadcasts (PPBs) for political entities contesting in GE2025 to deliver their campaign messages.

The first will take place on Apr. 25, and the second on May 1.

The political broadcasts will be delivered in English, Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil.

Eight political parties — the aforementioned five as well as the National Solidarity Party (NSP), the People's Power Party (PPP), and the Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) — are eligible for the upcoming PPBs.

Independents, and political entities with fewer than six candidates, are not eligible for PPBs.
