M'sian influencer spends S$480,000 on outfits for Hari Raya, wife's clothing flaunts Swarovski crystals
It included a Swarovski crystal-encrusted dress worth RM83,000 (S$25,000).
A Malaysian influencer, known as Prince Syed, went all out this year for Hari Raya, spending over RM1.5 million (S$480,000) on new clothes for himself and his family.
This included a Swarovski crystal-encrusted dress worth RM83,000 (S$25,000) and 30 different outfits for his wife to wear during the 30 days of Hari Raya Puasa celebrations.
In a video posted on Prince Syed's TikTok, he broke down the amount he spent on clothes for each of his family members.
This included a Swarovski crystal-encrusted dress and a Swarovski crystal shirt button, which cost RM320,000 (S$96,000) and RM3,000 (S$900) respectively, for his two-year-old and two-year-old children.
"Most expensive" in the world
The influencer told Malaysian news outlet mStar, as reported by Sin Chew Daily News, that he not only bought 30 new sets of clothing for his wife, but he also purchased 30 new bags and shoes for her.
Prince Syed said he thinks that the total cost of the clothes for Hari Raya may be the "most expensive" in the world, and that people were shocked by the cost.
He added that his family's Hari Raya clothes were all hand-sewn by him and took three months to complete.
The man, who owns a clothing boutique, said his staff focused on processing the customers' orders, while he completed the clothes for his family.
He did not think his expenditure was a waste, as he said the clothes could be worn again.
If not worn, the clothes would be sold, and the proceeds would be donated to charity.
He said he had sold some clothes from last year to fans, which were enthusiastically received.
This is not the first time Prince Syed has gone all out for the festive season.
In 2024, he spent RM90,000 (S$27,000) on 120 pieces of clothing for his family for a Barbie-themed Hari Raya.
