Goh Meng Seng says WP running in Tampines to make sure Goh Meng Seng doesn't get into Parliament

Goh Meng Seng of the People's Power Party (PPP) gave a rally speech at Temasek JC on Apr. 24, 2025, emphasising on WP's decision to not contest Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC.

According to Goh, there was "no good strategy" for WP contesting Tampines GRC.

He pointed to the four-corner fight that has now ensued.

Goh, however, said he had one good reason in mind as to why WP might have decided to contest Tampines.

"They want to make sure Goh Meng Seng does not go into Parliament"

Goh said this was because his party was the only one in Singapore that had "raised concerns about the vaccine during the Covid period".

The PPP leader had previously been given multiple POFMA orders for falsely exaggerating dangers of Covid-19 vaccines.

Goh went on to say Pritam Singh had not given a single apology to the voters of Marine Parade. He then asked if he could do the same thing to Tampines voters, implying that Singh might abandon them as well.

Goh said: "Bro, when I was contesting 2006, where were you?"

He then said the only thing he regretted in his life was to "build the platform for these people".

At a doorstop interview today, WP chief Pritam Singh addressed Goh's criticisms during nomination day, saying: "Mr Goh should focus on the campaign in Tampines."

Singh had explained why WP had chosen not to contest Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC.

He also commented on criticism from the opposition.
