GE2025: The first 2 new face MPs have been settled, without a single vote being cast

Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC saw a walkover after Workers' Party (WP) chose not to contest the GRC.

The PAP team was expected to be challenged by a team from WP, which had contested in the Marine Parade GRC in 2020 and 2015.

WP will field 26 candidates across eight constituencies – Aljunied GRC, East Coast GRC, Punggol GRC, Sengkang GRC, Tampines GRC, and Hougang SMC, Jalan Kayu SMC and Tampines Changkat SMC.

This includes Punggol GRC and Tampines GRC, which WP is contesting for the first time.

This is the first walkover since 2011.

Their prospective anchor minister for Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC, Tan See Leng, also moved to Chua Chu Kang GRC.

Here is their final slate.

The slate consists of Speaker Seah Kian Peng, Minister of State Faishal Ibrahim and three-term MP Tin Pei Ling.

There are two new faces in the GRC.

Diana Pang and Goh Pei Ming.

Pang was introduced as a candidate for Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC.

Goh had not been mentioned in any GRC lineup so far, but was seen during an East Coast website reveal.
