Sembawang GRC MPs try out obstacle course at newly launched Bukit Canberra outdoor gym
You'll definitely need a spotter.

A new outdoor gym and water play area were unveiled at Bukit Canberra on Mar. 23, 2025.
Attending the launch were Sembawang Group Representation Constituency (GRC) Members of Parliament (MPs) Lim Wee Kiak, Mariam Jaafar, Poh Li San, and Minister for Health Ong Ye Kung.
MP Vikram Nair was not present for the event launch. Mothership understands that he is away on a work trip.
The integrated recreational facilities consist of the Forest Gym, which is ActiveSG's first outdoor obstacle course, and the Canberra Cove.

Some physical feats were performed
The Sembawang GRC MPs even tried their hands at some of the obstacles on-site:

The Canberra Cove features both a "wet" and "dry" section, and the MPs promptly waded in for a splash at both sections:

These new facilities represent Sport Singapore's commitment to creating innovative recreational spaces for the community, according to a media release.
"The Forest Gym, ActiveSG's first outdoor obstacle course, offers fitness enthusiasts a unique training experience amidst natural surroundings.
The Canberra Cove water play area provides families with an exciting new recreational space within the community."
These additions complement Bukit Canberra's existing amenities, which include Singapore’s largest ActiveSG gym, a swimming complex, an ActiveSG sport hall, a senior care centre, as well as a hawker centre.
One new member expected
The MPs did not give a doorstop interview at the event.
Ong had previously said he expected "at least one new member" to join the team for the upcoming General Election.
There had been some speculation that Shahrin Abdol Salam, the former chief executive officer (CEO) of Singapore Post's local operations, was the one to fill up the vacancy.
With the release and adoption of the Electoral Boundaries Review Committee's (EBRC) report, a new Sembawang West Single Member Constituency (SMC) was formed, in addition to the current five-man Sembawang GRC.
According to the EBRC:
"In view of the growth in Sembawang GRC and Tampines GRC, the Committee recommended carving out polling districts from Sembawang GRC to form a new Sembawang West SMC, and polling districts from Tampines GRC to form a new Tampines Changkat SMC."
Chee Soon Juan contesting Sembawang West
Ong commented on the new SMC in a Facebook post on Mar. 12:
"The new Sembawang West SMC will continue to be an integral part of the Sembawang family. Its upgrading and development plans will continue to be part of the GRC and town development plan.
As an SMC, it will be able to have more autonomy and flexibility to implement initiatives to address the specific needs of its residents."
Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) chief Chee Soon Juan announced, also on Mar. 23, that he will be contesting Sembawang West SMC.
He also said that SDP would contest Sembawang GRC.
The Sembawang West ward is currently represented in Parliament by Poh Li San, although the PAP has not confirmed if Poh will be contesting Sembawang SMC for the upcoming GE.
In GE2020, the PAP team for Sembawang GRC, helmed by Ong, won with 67.29 per cent of the vote.
