1 person dies inside burning car on Nicoll Highway, 2 taken to hospital
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A car caught fire following a road traffic accident along Nicoll Highway towards Guillemard Road, before the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) entrance on Mar. 2.
A video of the incident, shared by a Mothership reader, shows a blue Porsche car crashed into a road barrier, and ablaze:

Dashcam footage of what appears to be the car speeding along Nicoll Highway was shared on the Sgfollowsall Telegram channel:

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to the incident at about 2:10pm.
A person was trapped inside the car that had caught fire, SCDF said.
After the fire was extinguished with a water jet, a person was found inside the burnt car and pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.

Seven persons from other vehicles involved in the accident were assessed by SCDF.
Two were conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, while the rest declined to be sent to the hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
