BlueSG car smashes into KJE road barrier, 2 taken to hospital

The car is believed to have self-skidded.

One adult and one child were conveyed to the hospital after a BlueSG car crashed into a road barrier on the Kranji Expressway (KJE).

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were alerted to the accident on Mar. 1 at about 1:55pm.

The accident took place near the Woodlands Road exit on KJE towards Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE).

A 39-year-old female car driver and her 11-year-old female passenger were conveyed conscious to National University Hospital (NUH), SCDF said.

Self-skidded, severely damaged car

The car is believed to have self-skidded, SPF said.

A video uploaded to the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page shows the BlueSG car after the accident.

One of the car's headlights appeared broken, and the windshield cracked. The airbags of the car were also inflated:

Police investigations are ongoing.
