Man sets up makeshift bedroom in Sembawang HDB car park with curtains & wall deco
He has not been seen for several weeks.
In the car park of a Sembawang HDB estate, a man allegedly set up a makeshift room — complete with pillows and curtains.
This has attracted attention from residents and passers-by, reported Shin Min Daily News.
The man, who appeared about a year ago, also kitted the corner out with amenities like a cardboard "bed", and even a calendar.
He even installed a curtain — presumably for privacy.
Other items like cups, bowls, and a roll of paper towels, were found at the scene.

Appeared about a year ago
The set-up appeared at the car park in the Wellington Circle estate more than a year ago, said residents.
Every day, the man would disappear in the daytime and only appear after around 6 to 7pm in the evening.
One resident told Shin Min that the man would often walk around the area shirtless, keeping to himself.
"He wouldn't bother people, but people were curious as to why he seemed to be homeless," he said.
Another resident said he'd overheard rumours that the man had lost his home after a divorce, but added that he had not verified this with the man himself.
A woman was also seen buying food for him on one occasion.
Used facilities
The set-up is located next to the switch room of the HDB car park.
A cleaner who spoke to Shin Min said the man had previously broken into the garbage area on the ground floor of the HDB block.
He used a water hose to shower, and charged his phone there, the cleaner said.
The cleaner decided to lock the garbage area, but later found the lock broken.
"I tried to talk to [the man], but he was bad-tempered and cursed at me," he said.
According to residents, the man has not been seen for several weeks.
The paper calendar in the room suggested that the last time a page was torn off was on Feb. 3.
