Circle Line train fault, passengers advised to take alternative routes

The Circle Line is facing a disruption due to a train fault.
Passengers travelling on the Circle Line are advised to add 30 minutes to their travelling time between Promenade and Serangoon in both directions on Mar. 5, at around 4:30pm.
Passengers are also advised to take alternative routes on the North-South, North-East, Downtown and East-West Line.

According to SMRT's Facebook at 4:19pm, there are free regular bus services between Promenade and Serangoon.
There is also shuttle train service available between Bartley and Mountbatten.
This comes almost a month after the previous Circle Line disruption, which occurred for about 30 minutes during the morning rush hour due to a signalling system fault.
As of 5:01pm, train services have resumed between Promenade and Serangoon and free regular bus services would cease between Promenade and Serangoon.
SMRT shared that the train fault occurred around 3:55pm on Mar. 5 between Paya Lebar and MacPherson station.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate commuters' patience," said SMRT.
