Cheers at Holland Village closes, other stores up for rent & sale

Cheers along Lorong Mambong at Holland Village appears to have closed for good.

While it displayed a sign stating that it would be temporarily closed from Mar. 3, 2025, there was a "for rent" sign above it.

Next to Cheers, the butcher shop, Swiss Butchery, was empty, with the front door wide open.

Swiss Butchery announced on its Facebook page that its Holland Village store would transition online from Feb. 15, 2025, onwards.

The Sichuan restaurant next to Cheers is also closed and is up for rent.

Across the road from Cheers, Strata Commercial Space at 29A Lorong Mambong is also up for sale.

According to Micah Lim, senior associate director at JKL Consultants, Fitstop's tenancy will also be included, which ends in August 2025.

Speaking to Mothership, Lim pointed out that the store closures could be due to Holland Village going through a readjustment period after the launch of One Holland Village.

He noted that One Holland Village has increased footfall to Holland Village but has also created competition for the original operators.

"Part and parcel of growing pains, perhaps," Lim said.

"We expect changes of Food and Beverage, retail, and service operators at Holland Village as a whole."
