Bus with 11 passengers on board catches fire along BKE, no injuries reported
Videos showed the bus engulfed in flames.

A bus caught fire while travelling along the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) towards the Pan Island Expressway (PIE), just before the Kranji Expressway (KJE), on Mar. 6.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed with Mothership that they were alerted to the vehicle fire at around 6:15pm on Thursday.
Before SCDF's arrival, the bus driver and 11 passengers had evacuated the vehicle.
No injuries were reported, according to SCDF.
Engulfed in flames
Videos taken by a Mothership reader showed the bus engulfed in flames, with thick smoke billowing from the bus.

Videos on social media showed several workers directing traffic, and traffic cones were placed around the bus.

SCDF personnel extinguished the fire using three water jets, they said.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
At least four fires on the road have been reported in the past week, including one fatal accident.
