It seems like Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) secretary-general Chee Soon Juan will once again be contesting for the Bukit Batok Single Member Constituency (SMC) in the upcoming general elections.

He also announced that he is holding fundraising dinners at his restaurant, Orange & Teal, till Feb. 26.

In a video critiquing government policy on education and immigration, CheeĀ laid out the SDP's alternative education policies.

These included suggestions like scrapping the PSLE and reducing class sizes to 20 students per teacher.

He also asked his audience to buy a ticket to "support [his] effort to win the Bukit Batok seat this GE".

"The PAP will not reform itself. Singaporeans will have to step in to get the job done. And there is no more crucial, more urgent time than this coming elections."

He previously contested in the 2020 elections, but lost to People's Action Party (PAP) MP Murali Pillai, with 45.2 per cent of the votes.
