If you’re looking for a place to confront your greatest fears this Halloween, I think you’d agree that school does the trick.

While school might’ve been fun for some, others often look back and recoil from the dark ages of exam papers, morning assemblies, and teenage angst.

It’s a special type of hell.

And now’s your chance to go back.

For selected days this October, the Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC) is hosting a cursed school affair including a haunted house, a spooky maze, and more.

From main attractions to fringe activities, here’s what to expect.

Core subjects

 1. Welcome to L.L.E.H (Haunted House)

Step into a school-themed haunted house and relive the horrors of your childhood.

Lakeview Learning and Enrichment High (or L.L.E.H for short) keeps its doors open till late.

All the better to burn the midnight oil with.

But do so at your own risk, for after hours, the ghouls of the campus come out to play.

2. Labyrinth of Lost Souls (Haunted Maze)

The road from the Home Economics Classroom to the Design & Technology Workshop is filled with mysterious corridors and dead ends.

To get to your next class, you’ll have to navigate through a maze of hallways filled with spooky surprises.

Try not to scream while you do so.

3. The Archives (Interactive Scare Zone)

In this interactive scare zone, climate change wreaks vengeance on its perpetrators.

Pore over an eerie book and tattered clothing, and find clues that point to the origins of its fury.

Uncover the truth behind this formidable foe before it’s too late.

Electives

1. CCA Carnival (Carnival)

Night assembly at the Parade Square comes in the form of carnival stalls.

Try your hand at the assortment of games and stand a chance to win exclusive L.L.E.H memorabilia.

If running for your life has got you feeling hungry, you can also grab a bite to eat here.

2. Lost in Fear (XD Ride)

Filled with dark screens and dim lighting, the school’s audiovisual room always seems to play tricks on the mind.

Head over to L.L.E.H’s AV Club room for a 4D motion simulator ride that’ll leave your stomach heaving and your heart in your throat.

3. Dreadflix (Short Films)

Nothing sets the mood for Halloween like a horror movie.

In this unconventional Film Studies class, you’ll witness a collection of short horror films from Temasek Polytechnic’s past and present students.

4. Charmed (Craft Activity)

Need a breather from the scary action?

Join the Art Club and unleash your inner creativity with Halloween-themed artwork.

5. Black Lake Facility (Escape Room)

There’s a rumour going about that the Drama Club at L.L.E.H is looking for new members — who knows what happened to the old ones?

Drop by their booth to find out more about becoming a thespian.

It may or may not be a trap.

Area 510
