The Singapore police will be charging a 44-year-old man for his involvement in a case of vandalism that took place at Police Cantonment Complex.
On Sep. 15, 2026 at about 10:55pm, the police were alerted to a case of vandalism at Police Cantonment Complex.
A man had allegedly thrown a rock weighing almost half a kilogram at the glass door of its main entrance.
The man was immediately arrested at the scene by responding officers.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the man, who was believed to be intoxicated, had thrown the same rock twice, causing the glass door to shatter.
The rock was seized as a case exhibit.
The man will be charged in court on Sep. 17 with the offence of vandalism.
The offence carries a fine of up to S$2,000 or up to three years' jail, as well as three to eight strokes of the cane.
