1 person conveyed to hospital after incident at Jurong West Swimming Complex

One person was conveyed to the hospital after an incident at Jurong West Swimming Complex on Aug. 15.

Responding to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call for assistance at around 5:25pm.

The person was conveyed to National University Hospital.

A photo shared by a Mothership reader, purportedly of the incident in question, showed lifeguards gathered beside a pool.

According to the reader, they were performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Responding to Mothership's queries, a Sport Singapore spokesperson confirmed that an incident occurred at the ActiveSG Jurong West Swimming Complex on Aug. 15.

"Our lifeguards and staff promptly attended to the individual, in accordance with our emergency response protocols," the spokesperson said.

"The individual was conscious when subsequently conveyed to the National University Hospital. We understand that the individual is currently under observation," the spokesperson added.
