The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will trial a humanoid robot at the Downtown Line Little India MRT station from Aug. 31 to Sep. 11, 2026.
In a Facebook post on Aug. 20, LTA announced that the robot, “Olly”, will be seen familiarising itself with the station environment before the trial.
During its pilot, commuters can ask it for directions and other general questions regarding the MRT lines.
Olly will be available on weekdays between 10am and 12pm.
It will also be supervised.
This pilot is part of LTA's exploration of how AI-enabled technologies can support public transport operations and improve the commuting experience.
