A spokesperson told The Straits Times that Crystal Jade "regularly reviews" its operations and network of outlets to ensure they adapt to market conditions and that Singapore is still its home market.
Regarding foreseeable job cuts, the spokesperson added that affected employees will be supported during this transition by being redeployed in Singapore where possible, as has been done before.
Previous closures
Crystal Jade shuttered its Hillion Mall outlet earlier in 2026.
The iconic La Mian Xiao Long Bao outlet at Holland Village was closed in June 2025.
Its Hong Kong Kitchen outlet at One Holland Village mall remains open.
Crystal Jade was founded in Singapore in 1991.
It continues to operate several restaurant brands in Singapore.
Private equity firm L Catterton Asia, which was formerly L Capital Asia, acquired a majority stake in the Crystal Jade in 2014.
