M'sia motorcyclist, 27, dies in JB accident after being thrown off bridge on way S'pore for work

A 27-year-old motorcyclist died after reportedly being thrown off a bridge following a collision on the North-South Expressway (NSE) in Malaysia.
The accident took place at about 8am on Jun. 11, 2026, The Star reported.
Accident on the way to work
According to Johor Bahru South police chief Raub Selamat, the accident occurred at the 1.5km mark of the NSE in the direction of the city centre.
He said that at the time of the accident, traffic was moving slowly and road conditions were wet due to rain, The Star reported.
Noting that the victim worked as a storekeeper in Singapore, he added that the victim was on his way to work when another motorcycle crashed into him.
Victim died, investigation
According to The Star, the victim was reportedly thrown off his motorcycle and fell off the bridge onto a Johor Bahru highway below.
Raub said that the victim, who suffered severe head injuries and a fractured left leg, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Star reported that the other motorcyclist, 27, who was sent to a local hospital for treatment, had fractured his left arm and injured his face and right arm.
