15-month-old toddler in Vietnam dies after car reversed & ran over her

A 15-month-old girl was reportedly run over by a reversing car in Donghai Province, Vietnam.

Although she was rushed to the hospital, she ultimately succumbed to her injuries, according to Vietnamese media Dan Tri.

Surveillance video of the incident reportedly showed a man in white getting into a parked car.

At this time, the girl staggered into the frame and walked along the right side of the vehicle.

As the man backed up the car, he did not notice the girl and hit her from behind, causing her to fall to the ground.

The man continued to reverse and reportedly paused momentarily as the rear right wheel went over the child.

The front right wheel then ran over the toddler.

Investigations ongoing

As the vehicle drove away, a man dressed in black ran over, shouting at the driver.

The driver was then seen rushing out to check on the girl.

Moments later, a woman ran towards the girl, screaming.

She turned the girl over and let out a cry as she saw the girl's face covered in blood.

The police have launched an investigation into the accident.
