A Singapore-registered car was caught on video displaying a "F*ck Chinese" message on its rear.

The message was repeatedly shown on the LCD lighting display at the rear of the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), as seen in a SG Road Vigilante Facebook post

Message kept flashing

The video's caption stated that the incident occurred on Nov. 20, 2025 in Woodlands.

The Honda Stepwagon Spada was travelling towards the Woodlands Checkpoint.

Throughout the video, the message was repeatedly displayed at the back of the car.

A commenter on the post claimed that it was his car and the device was remotely accessed as it was not password-protected.

He also said he was under investigation.

Penalties

The post added that the display could constitute as an illegal modification.

According to the Land Transport Authority's (LTA) OneMotoring platform, a display is among the vehicle modifications that are not allowed.

It falls under the category of decorative lamps, which include flashing decorative lights.

Any person, including workshops, who illegally modifies or uses such vehicles are liable to a fine of up to S$5,000, up to three months' jail, or both.

The penalties for repeat offenders are doubled.
