Man shot dead while having meal at mamak stall in M'sia, arm severed

Two vehicles pulled up to the restaurant while the man attempted to escape.

A man was shot dead while eating at a restaurant in Malaysia near Seremban late on Wednesday night (Nov. 19), reported the New Straits Times.

The Seremban district police headquarters only received a call about the shooting at 11:23pm, after a member of the public called in to report what they believed to be a murder.

Victim was having a meal

According to eyewitnesses quoted by The Star, the victim had been eating moments before two vehicles arrived at the restaurant.

He then suddenly stood up and ran across the road in an attempt to escape, shortly before several gunshots were heard.

Witnesses saw the man collapse a short distance away on the traffic island in the middle of the road, where he was later pronounced dead by medical personnel.

According to pictures of the scene from local media, his left arm had also been severed from his body.

Investigations ongoing

The Seremban district police chief confirmed that the case is still under investigation and that further details will be provided to the media in due course.

Police have not released the victim’s identity or any information about the suspects or the motive behind the shooting.
