To celebrate its 20th anniversary, MapleStorySEA is bringing exclusive events this June 2025, including new challenges, characters, and merchandise.

Plus, the game is also launching lots of new updates.

With all these changes, there’s surely something for any Mapler to get hyped up for in the upcoming three months!

Challengers World

Jump into the limited-time Challengers World and experience an adrenaline-fueled journey of rapid growth! You can create up to five brand new characters, with up to three designated as “Tera Burning”, making it the ultimate way to power up your Union.

You’ll also receive the passive “Challengers” skill buff, giving you massive boosts to EXP, damage, critical rate, and much more. With these skills, you’ll be reaching level 200 in no time.

Complete exclusive Challengers Missions to earn Challengers Points and Challengers Coins, unlocking “SUPER special” rewards and powerful items.

P.S. Want to keep your progress? You can transfer up to five characters (level 130+) to Regular Worlds via World Leap during the specific designated transfer windows.

Hyper Burning MAX

Want to get to level 260? Speed through it with Hyper Burning MAX, which is making its debut in MapleStorySEA.

Choose one character per ID—either a brand-new character or an existing one between level 200 to 258—and catapult towards level 260, gaining an incredible 5 levels instead of the usual one level. Four bonus levels, nice. 

Once you hit key level milestones, you can gain a treasure trove of essential gear and power-ups, including Root Abyss set and an Absolabs weapon, the powerful Eternal Flame title & ring, vital Arcane & Authentic Symbols, and Core Gemstones for skill mastery.

You can also pair Hyper Burning MAX with Challengers World for even bigger milestone rewards.

In addition, from Jun. 4 onwards, Hyper Burning MAX characters get exclusive access to Tera Blink. Blitz your way from level 10 to 200 with quick missions through Spiegelmann's wacky "World in a Hat" to gain massive EXP boosts and a cute Pet and Chair.

And don’t miss the return of the Double Mushroom Pass, loaded with extra gear and challenges to conquer!

Champion Burning will also join the fray for even more leveling help later on Jul. 30.

3rd & 4th Mastery Core

The much-awaited 3rd and 4th Mastery Cores will also be launched on Jul. 9, allowing players to unlock deeper levels of power across all 48 classes. Get ready to take your skills to the next level with deeper customization and stunning visual upgrades that make every attack look just as powerful as it feels.

Infiltrate the Dawnstar Party

Maplers can also look forward to the Dawnstar Party—an over-the-top, immersive event where you’ll go undercover as an attendant at the Apostles’ infamously unpredictable annual bash. 

Your mission? Keep the peace between absurdly powerful beings and uncover secrets, but most importantly, try not to let the place get vaporised (again).

Score some extra rewards and gather crucial Dawnlight & Starlight Points by completing simple preparations, as well as team up with fellow spy Angelo to funnel those points into his Illusion Device, unlocking potent temporary buffs. Daily check-ins also build toward milestone prizes, including the coveted Transcendent Growth Potion.

Take on weekly mob challenges to earn event coins, which you can spend in the Commemoration Coin Exchange. The ultimate prize? The Hyper Burning MAX Booster—launch another character into 1+4 leveling madness up to level 260 for 90 days!

Get even more rewards by soloing weekly bosses for special badges, which can be traded at a dedicated exchange for elite materials and enhancements.

Players can also jump into various themed sub-events popping up throughout the party for even more loot.

Join an exclusive 20th Anniversary Special Party with the charming NPC Broomy, where you can expect fun minigames and extra rewards as we celebrate the two decades of MapleStorySEA adventures together.

Get invited to the prestigious Union Champion system

Think you’re the best at Maple? Now it’s time for you to prove it with the prestigious Union Champion system. Launching on Jul. 30, the system invites top-tier players (at least of Grand Master Union I rank) to designate their best characters at level 260 or above as Champions.

Conquer intense solo boss evaluations to rank them up (C to SSS), with each rank granting permanent Insignia stats (Boss Dmg, Crit Dmg) that stack and apply across all your Champions. That’s not all: you can also unlock the customisable Champion's Blessing, granting potent temporary buffs tailored to your needs.

Better Maple Update

MapleStorySEA will also be launching game updates, so that Maplers find it even easier to play the game. 

From Jun. 4, players no longer have to frantically hit multiple keys for buffs with the new Skill Sequence System. You can pop all your essential buff skills with just one tap.

A Union Board Auto Solver, which instantly configures your optimal board layout with just one click, will save players from any Union puzzle frustration.

Finding gear and trading items will be easier and smoother than ever with the updated major market integration, where Cross-World Systems will join Regular Worlds (Challengers World separate) into huge, vibrant marketplaces via the Auction House and Meso Market.

20th Anniversary Birthday Bash at Suntec City

Want some exclusive 20th Anniversary merch and rewards from MapleStorySEA?
