KJE hit-&-run: Motorcyclist, 65, conveyed unconscious to hospital

A 65-year-old male motorcyclist was conveyed unconscious to the hospital after a hit-and-run incident took place along Kranji Expressway (KJE) towards Pan Island Expressway (PIE) on Apr. 7 evening.

In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) confirmed that they were alerted to the incident at around 5:30pm on Monday.

The other party involved was a van.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Aftermath

The aftermath of the collision was caught on camera by an onlooker who subsequently shared the photos with Shin Min Daily News.

According to the photos, the motorcyclist, who was wearing a fluorescent yellow jacket, could be seen lying on the road next to his white helmet.

His motorcycle was lying on its side beside him.

A pair of blue shoes was next to the vehicle.

A person dressed in black could be seen standing next to the motorcyclist.

Shin Min reported that it understands that a driver who was passing by the scene alerted the police after noticing the motorcyclist lying in the middle of the road.

The onlooker also told the Chinese daily that the collision had caused traffic congestion that allegedly "lasted hours".
