A 52-year-old driver is assisting the police with investigations after a hit-and-run accident on the Central Expressway (CTE) involving a car and motorcycle, the police said in response to Mothership's queries.

Motorcyclist seen knocked to the ground

Footage of the accident, which occurred on Apr. 25, at about 8:15pm, was uploaded to the Facebook group SGRV.

According to the footage, the car was travelling on the second lane of the expressway when it changed onto the third lane and hit a motorcyclist.

The collision sent the motorcycle careening onto the first lane towards the centre divider.

The rider fell onto the road.

After momentarily pausing following the collision, the car left the scene.

Another car on the first lane could be seen braking to avoid hitting the motorcycle on the right-most lane.

Vehicles behind the car that stopped on the right-most lane had to brake hard as a result.

The police said the motorcyclist, aged 27, was conveyed conscious to the hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
