Changi Airport crowned World's Best Airport for record-breaking 13th time

Changi Airport has been crowned the World's Best Airport for 2025 by Skytrax, making it the 13th time it has won the accolade.

In second place was the 2024 winner, Qatar's Hamad International Airport in Doha, followed by Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) in third, Seoul's Incheon International Airport in fourth and Narita Airport in fifth place.

Also won awards for best dining and washrooms

In addition, Changi Airport won awards for World’s Best Airport Dining, Best Airport Washrooms and Best Airport in Asia.

Changi Airport also came in second for passenger numbers, with 60-70 million passengers, behind Tokyo's Haneda Airport which had over 70 million passengers.

Separately, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport collected the award for World’s Best Airport Hotel.

The awards were based on a survey conducted by Skytrax from August 2024 to February 2025, with more than 13 million users from more than 100 countries responding, according to The Straits Times.

Travellers were asked about their experience with airport services such as check in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, and security / immigration to departure at the gate.

The CEO of Skytrax, Edward Plaisted, also highlighted washroom as a "major driver" of customer satisfaction regarding airport experience.

He said:

"It is a great achievement for Singapore Changi Airport to receive the highest award as the World’s Best Airport 2025, this being a record-breaking 13th time in the awards history that they have scooped this award.

The diversity and expansive choice of dining outlets is also recognised with Changi Airport winning the award for the World’s Best Airport Dining. With washrooms being a major driver of customer satisfaction during their airport experience, we congratulate Singapore Changi Airport on receiving the first ever World’s Best Airport Washrooms award."

The CEO of Changi Airport Group, Yam Kum Weng, said, in response to the award:
