Popular hotpot chain Haidilao has permanently closed its Northshore Plaza outlet as of Feb. 10, 2025.

The chain made the announcement in a Facebook post on Feb. 9.

Haidilao said that the last order for the outlet was served on Feb. 9 at 8:30pm.

The chain thanked its customers for their continued support and welcomed them to patronise nearby Haidilao outlets, such as at Seletar Mall.

First 'smart' outlet in S'pore

The Northshore Plaza outlet in Punggol was opened in April 2022 to celebrate Haidilao's 10th year in Singapore.

It was also dubbed the chain's first "smart" restaurant in the country, with roving robot waiters, robot arms and other technological elements.

In March 2024, three people from the same family fell ill and were hospitalised after allegedly having lunch at the Northshore Plaza outlet.

At the time, the Singapore Food Agency, Ministry of Health and National Environment Agency said they were investigating the matter.

This closure comes less than two months after Haidilao's Downtown East outlet closed on Dec. 31, 2024.

According to its website, Haidilao currently has 17 outlets in Singapore.
