Two men were photographed allegedly urinating on a tree near the Toa Payoh MRT station on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at around 9pm.

The photo was taken by Joseph Benjamin Bolinao, a passer-by who happened to be in the area outside HDB Hub at Block 520 Lorong 6 Toa Payoh.

In response to Mothership's queries on early Thursday morning, the eyewitness in his 50s said: "Yes, I personally took that photo and was really surprised by what I saw. That’s why I secretly took that photo."

"I was talking to my girlfriend on the phone and took that shot to send it to her as a side joke to laugh about," he added.

He subsequently posted the photo on the Complaint Singapore Facebook page on Jan. 15, to the chagrin of many commenters, who collectively condemned the act.

According to Google Maps, the tree, two rubbish bins, and hoarding are located a stone's throw from Block 175 Lorong 2 Toa Payoh, which is next to HDB Hub.
