Chinese actor Zhao Benshan to stage CNY show in S'pore at MBS on Feb. 15, 2025

Chinese actor and comedian Zhao Benshan will perform a Chinese New Year show in Singapore on Feb. 15, 2025.
The show will take place at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre.
The performance is part of his global tour, which will also include stops in major cities such as New York, San Jose, Los Angeles, and Bangkok.
Zhao will be joined by artists from the Liaoning Folk Art Troupe, offering a celebration of Chinese New Year filled with hometown nostalgia and well-wishes for overseas Chinese communities.
The tour will feature performers from the Northeast Chinese comedy and folk art scene, including Song Xiaobao, Yan Xuejing, Cheng Ye, Song Xiaofeng, Wang Xiaoli, Li Lin, Yan Guangming and Zhao Haiyan.
These artists will re-enact popular scenes from China’s CCTV Spring Festival Gala, one of the most-watched television events in China.
Zhao is known for his contributions to sketch comedy and is the founder of the Liu Laogen Grand Stage, which specialises in Green Errenzhuan, a popular comedic style in China.
