Jaywalker cuts through traffic at Nicoll Highway & hits motorcycle, sending rider & pillion to hospital
The jaywalker was seen running into fast moving traffic.
A jaywalker cut across multiple lanes of traffic while crossing a busy Nicoll Highway junction on Dec. 16, only to collide with a motorcycle carrying a pillion rider.
Both the rider and pillion were sent to hospital.
Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership that they were alerted to the accident at the junction of Nicoll Highway and Bras Basah Road at 4:15pm on Dec. 16.
The accident involved a motorcycle and pedestrian, police said.
The accident
Footage of the accident was shared to the SG Road Vigilante Facebook group on Dec. 17.
The footage appeared to have been taken by a car waiting at the junction, and showed a man with a sling bag cutting across the junction.
He weaved his way through vehicles passing through the junction, taking a path not intended for pedestrian crossings.
Seeing an oncoming motorcycle with a pillion rider, he stopped and held his hands out briefly.
He collided with the motorcycle and all three individuals ended up on the ground.

Vehicles behind slowed down upon seeing the crash, with another motorcyclist dismounting to help.
Other pedestrians were also seen walking over to lend a hand.
The pedestrian also got up and walked over to the fallen duo while clutching his head.

Rider and pillion sent to hospital
Police said that a 39-year-old male motorcyclist and his 41-year-old male pillion were conveyed conscious to the hospital.
SCDF said they were conveyed to Raffles Hospital.
A 41-year-old male pedestrian suffered minor injuries but declined to be sent to the hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
