At least 7 cars involved in ECP pile-up, cars seen on top of other cars
It happened near the Fort Road exit.
A multi-vehicle accident occurred on the evening of Oct. 3 on East Coast Parkway (ECP) towards Changi Airport near Fort Road.
A video taken by a passerby and uploaded to the Instagram account sgfollowsall showed an accident scene when two cars were seen to be on top of other cars.
At least seven vehicles were involved in the crash.
Witnesses
A witness told Lianhe Zaobao that when she passed the accident site at around 5:10pm, the drivers and passengers involved in the accident had already evacuated the vehicles, with the airbags of many cars deployed.
She added that the owner of the red car was the most seriously injured.
Congestion along accident site
The Land Transport Authority also updated on its X account at around 5:30 pm that there was an accident on ECP.

In its latest update, at around 5:50 p.m., LTA said that there was congestion on ECP before the Tanjong Katong Road exit until the Fort Road exit.
They advised motorists to avoid lanes 1 and 2.

Three injured
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that they were alerted to a road traffic accident along ECP towards Changi Airport after Fort Road exit at about 5:20pm on Oct. 3.
SCDF conveyed three persons to Raffles Hospital.
The police confirmed with Mothership that the accident involved six cars and three taxis along the ECP exit towards Changi.
A 67-year-old male taxi driver, a 76-year-old male taxi passenger, and a 34-year-old female car driver were conveyed conscious to the hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
