On-duty SCDF NSF, 20, dies after being found unconscious at Marina Bay Fire Station

A full-time Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) National Serviceman was found unconscious at the training yard of Marina Bay Fire Station on Sep. 6 at about 8:10am.

He was identified to be 20-year-old LCP Muhammad Nur Ilham Mohammed Iswadi.

According to a statement from SCDF, he was on duty at the time of the incident.

SCDF personnel at the fire station immediately administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

He was subsequently conveyed to Singapore General Hospital, where he passed away.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said that they received a call for assistance at 70 Marina View at 8:15am.

Based on preliminary investigations, the police do not suspect foul play, said SPF.

SCDF shared that LCP Muhammad Nur Ilham enlisted on Feb. 10, 2026 and completed the firefighter course at the Civil Defence Academy on Aug. 7, 2026.

He was then posted to Marina Bay Fire Station on Aug. 18, 2026.

"SCDF is saddened by his death and extends our deepest condolences to his family. We are providing all necessary assistance and support to the family during this difficult time."

Police investigations are ongoing.
