Man, 59, to be charged with murder after man, 59, dies during dispute at Lengkok Bahru block

A 59-year-old man will be charged with murder after a man died at Block 55 Lengkok Bahru on Jul. 20.

It was earlier reported that the victim, also 59, had allegedly been in a dispute with the man.

The pair were apparently neighbours and had fought that day.

In a press release, police said they were alerted to the incident in Redhill at about 4:45pm on Monday.

Police found a man lying motionless at the 16th-floor lift lobby.

He died after he was taken to the hospital.

The other man was arrested at the scene.

Preliminary investigations revealed that both parties are known to each other.

The man will be charged in court on Jul. 22 with murder.

The offence of murder carries the death penalty.

Police investigations are ongoing.
