The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) conducted enforcement operations at the Bugis, Somerset and Yishun areas over three days from Jun. 18 to 20, 2026, as part of ongoing enforcement patrols to detect vape-related offences.

A man, 44, was caught vaping, and had his vaporiser seized.

He was also fined on the spot.

Another individual, a boy, 17, was caught for underage smoking.

He has been referred to the Health Promotion Board (HPB) for cessation counselling, HSA said in a media statement on Jun. 25.

From May 1 to 31, 2026, the authorities caught and penalised 840 persons for the possession and use of vaporisers.

Of these, 678 were regular vaporiser offenders and the remaining 162 were etomidate vaporiser offenders.
