Driver, 43, arrested for alleged careless driving after collision with motorcyclist, 42, along KPE

A traffic accident involving a car and a motorcycle occurred along the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) towards the East Coast Parkway (ECP) after Buangkok East Drive on the morning of Jun. 4.

In a video provided by a Mothership reader, a red and black motorcycle can be seen lying on its side on the expressway, with at least one police car at the scene.

According to the Mothership reader, a stationary black car could be also be seen near the motorcyle.

In a separate clip, a person can be seen lying on the road, with a police officer kneeling over them.

Two other individuals are seen standing close by.

In a statement, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 9:45am.

A 42-year-old male motorcyclist was conveyed conscious to hospital.

A 43-year-old male car driver has been arrested on suspicion of careless driving causing grievous hurt.

Police investigations are ongoing.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 9:50am and conveyed one person to Changi General Hospital.
