Jay Chou & JJ Lin surprise fans with duet of Chou's new song on Instagram

Mandopop icons Jay Chou and JJ Lin delighted their fans by dropping a surprise duet performance on Instagram.

On Jun. 10, Chou teased on Instagram that fans could look forward to seeing Lin cover one of his new songs.

The cover turned out to be a duet between the Taiwanese and Singaporean.

Later that same day, a video was posted on both their pages, showing the two stars in a small room singing Chou's recently released single, "The Day It Rained".

Chou also played the keyboard, while a guitarist accompanied them.

"Lovin’ the duet vibes – jamming with the GOAT [Jay Chou]," Lin wrote in the caption of the post.

According to CNA, Lin had hummed a part of the song during a previous live stream, which made some fans wonder if a collaboration was in the works.

While they did not sing the full song, it was enough to spark excitement.

Fans commented in praise of both men's vocals, and some called the duo a "heavenly combination".

The pair occasionally hung out and performed together before, including on live stages.

Now, their fans are calling for more collaborations, even possibly on a new song.
