A woman's dismembered body was found stuffed in a plastic box in a Bangkok apartment on Jun. 12.
Bangkok police believe the woman to be a 34-year-old restaurant server from Myanmar.
The discovery was made after the woman's relative reported her missing and visited her apartment with police officers.
The woman's 35-year-old husband, who is also a Myanmar national, is suspected of murder and wanted for questioning by police.
Police are also searching for missing body parts, including the head.
Believed to have been dead for several days
According to the Bangkok Post, police received a report about the dismembered remains on Jun. 12 at 1:35am.
When police officers visited the apartment on the second floor of a three-storey residential building in Makkasan of Bangkok's Ratchathewi district, they found a large plastic box enclosed with a lid.
A strong odour emanated from the box.
The dismembered remains were found in the box, with the abdomen cut open.
Belongings were also found scattered throughout the apartment.
The victim is believed to have been dead for several days, Bangkok Post reported.
Closed-circuit television footage showed the victim's husband leaving the apartment with a large suitcase.
Police are in the midst of locating the man, who works as a cook at a pub.
They believe the killing arose after the man discovered the wife had become involved with another man.
