Singaporean actress Eleanor Lee, who has been embroiled in an audio recording scandal for allegedly calling Chinese nationals "idiots", has made a police report.
On May 21, Lee posted a video to her Instagram page addressing the accusations, stating in Mandarin that the clip recorded by her former assistant was illegally "edited" and "synthesised".
In the video, Lee again emphasised her connections with China, stating that she continues to support the one-China policy and would never waver on this stance.
"I would never insult China or her people", she claimed.
This echoes her previous published statement on May 10.
Lee ended the video by apologising for taking up public resources, as well as urged viewers to not spread false information.
