Man, 76, takes over car from daughter, car crashes into wall at Ang Mo Kio polling station

The man was conveyed unconscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

A 76-year-old man was taking over a car from his daughter at Anderson Secondary School on May 3 afternoon when the car surged forward and crashed into the school's wall.

The school, which is located at 10 Ang Mo Kio Street 53, housed a polling station for Ang Mo Kio GRC in General Election 2025, reported 8world News.

The elderly man was conveyed unconscious to the hospital.

Police do not suspect foul play

In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed that they were alerted to the incident at around 3:30pm on Saturday.

The incident took place at the pickup point of the polling station.

The man was conveyed unconscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

Another three individuals were assessed for minor injuries, but they declined to be sent to the hospital.

The police do not suspect foul play.

Police investigations are ongoing.
