Retro kopitiam-style eatery Great Nanyang has opened its third outlet at Geneo, Singapore Science Park.
Great Nanyang was founded by Keith Kang, who also founded the heritage brand Yang Ming Seafood.
According to a media release by the eatery, Kang wanted to create a menu inspired by his fondest memories from Penang, Malaysia.
The menu features dishes from both Singapore and Malaysia.
Nostalgic decor
The restaurant will be decorated with elements that conjure feelings of nostalgia.
Kang has displayed his collection of objects, such as old signboards, heirloom shelving units and retro hanging light fixtures.
Models of vintage televisions and radios will decorate the space.
There will also be red and yellow umbrellas, which are often used in outdoor dining in Malaysia.
