Minibus crashes into Yishun tree on New Year's Day, driver, 40, injured

A 40-year-old male driver was conveyed conscious to the hospital after a minibus crashed into a tree along Yishun Avenue 8 towards Admiralty Road East.

Police were alerted to the incident on Jan. 1, 2025, at about 1:30am.

A video was uploaded to the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page on Jan. 1, showing the aftermath of the accident.

The video shows the bus appearing to have driven across a road divider and crashed into a tree:

Part of a tree could be seen lying on the road, with leaves and tree parts strewn all around the minibus:

The bus appears to have blocked off two of the right-most lanes on the road.

Police said that investigations are ongoing and that the 40-year-old male is assisting with investigations.
