Man, 43, arrested for drink driving after car rams down traffic light in Jalan Besar

A 43-year-old driver has been arrested for drink driving after his car rammed down a traffic light in Jalan Besar just before New Year's Eve.
Police told Mothership that they were alerted to the accident along Jalan Sultan towards Syed Alwi Road at 11:50pm on Dec. 30.

The aftermath
A picture shared on the Complaint Singapore Facebook group showed that a blue car had mounted a grass road divider in front of Hotel Boss at Jalan Sultan.
It had also knocked down a traffic light.

A video shared on TikTok showed debris scattered across the junction from the accident.
Police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) vehicles were also at the scene.

Police said that no injuries were reported.
A 43-year-old male car driver was arrested for drink driving.
Police investigations are ongoing.
