Famous Shi Wei Da Satay Bee Hoon reopens at Bedok 85 Market, its original location

Shi Wei Da Satay Bee Hoon is back in business.

It has reopened at Bedok 85 Market, its original location.

The business previously announced its closure in April 2024 after 30 years in business.

The stall they were occupying at the time at the same hawker centre at 85 Fengshan Centre was sold, it was explained then.

This announcement of the reopening was made on Dec. 30.

It currently serves S$4 and S$5 portions.

Michelin-approved

The satay bee hoon earned a spot in the Bib Gourmand selection of the Michelin Guide Singapore 2018

It was previously reported that the stall owner, Ng Kim Song, would spend his off days roasting peanuts, removing the skins and grinding the nuts to create his own satay sauce.

He omitted cuttlefish from his dish to keep his price low.
